Practice 1

After all we have learnt about the digestive system in class and with the information of the blog, today I want you to read the text about the digestion and do the following activities:

" When you bite your sandwich you are breaking it into pieces. We need to do this with our teeth and tongue before food enters the oesophagus and goes to our stomach.

In the stomach, pieces of food dissolve into a liquid. Then the nutrients our body needs pass to the small intestine. From the small intestine, the nutrients go into the blood.

The parts of food our body does not use go into the large intestine. From here, the stool or waste leave the body through the anus."

- Activities:

1.- Complete the chart with the information of the text:

2.- Tomorrow you will have to work in pairs in class where you will have to talk about what you had dinner and reflect on all the process. Think about 5 different questions to make to your classmate, you should take a look again to the picture about food and nutrients of the last post.

Think about the answers of the possible questions your partner can ask you.

I want you to have in mind foods, tastes, smells... when you create your questions and answer. Be creative and respectful, remember the digestive process!!

Enjoy!
